  • soak rice in water 1/2 hour , drain
  • in pan melt butter add clove star anise fennel
  • brown a minute
  • add garlic and ginger
  • brown add onions add beef and brown may need to add a little more butter
  • add spices
  • and brown
  • add potato
  • brown a little
  • add broth
  • add rice drained
  • and green chili
  • add salt and pepper
  • cover and simmer 20 minutes until rice is cooked.
