Made this last weekend and my family raved. The only thing I did in addition to the directions was to season the meat all over with house seasoning. It was scrumptious! I have been asked to make it again today...that's how much my three guys like this roast recipe!!

Served it tonight for Christmas Eve. My family ate til they were stuffed and everyone raved! My only issue was the timing... It doesn't take 1 hr 15 min per pound! I caught it in time, but it was still more well done than I preferred. Meat was tender and delicious, gravy was amazing!

Made this, this past weekend and OMG was it ever YUMMY!!!! found my new "to go to" beef roast recipe! the flavors were fantastic! ultimate comfort food!!!!! I used a sirloin tip roast and used 2 - 12oz jars of Heinz beef gravy - also I omitted the mushrooms since don't like them... also I put this all in my crock-pot on low for 8 hours... SOOO good! thank you!!!

This wasn't for us. It just tasted like the gravy.

I keep forgetting to take a picture. My family LOVES this recipe. We've had it 2x now & there are never any leftovers. I do brown the roast in the dutch oven before putting in the oven. Also, I pan fry the potatoes before putting them in because we like the added texture. All in all, a very delicious meal.
