DIRECTIONS

  • Cook meat, seasoning, onion, garlic, salt and pepper with 2 cups of water until onion is tender.
  • In a bowl mix bread, eggs, olive oil and cheeses. Add meat mixture and mix well.
  • Stuff mixture into manicotti shells.
  • Break up tomatoes, add 1 can of sauce and the water. Pour evenly into bottom of greased pans.
  • Arrange shells over sauce and top with remaining sauce.
  • Cover and bake at 350F for 1 hour or until tender.
  • While still hot sprinkle the second amount of mozzarella over top and let melt before serving.
