Beef Brisket Marinade

"This is Mama's recipe for slow oven baked brisket. She alway marinates in one of those large, turkey size oven bags . Pop it in a 250 degree oven the next day for 4-5 hours( depending on the size of your brisket) . Makes a very flavorful dish. Leftovers make great sandwiches."

  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Marinate brisket 8-24 hours( I like to use an oven roasting bag).
  • Slow roast 4- 5 hours at 250 degrees.
  • Allow the brisket to rest before slicing thinly across the grain.

  1. I have a brother in law who fancies himself the BBQ master. I told him I was bringing one made in the oven. He laughed, until I brought it for him to cut with his electric knife. We didn't get any of my brisket, because he and my father in law ate the whole thing. The whole house will smell divine. You can also use this recipe for other meats, such as pork shoulder any wings. Divine!
     
  2. This is by far the best brisket I have ever eaten. My brother in law has a smoking pit and scoffed when I made him a brisket from the oven... but I had him cut it with his electric knife and only half of the brisket made it to the table!
