Beef and Noodles - Crock Pot

"Good 'ol comfort food. The original recipe called for cream of celery soup, but since I don't care for that so much, I changed it up a bit."

  1. This was good and very easy to throw together. I think next time we'll add some broth to thin the sauce some.

  2. This was so simple to make and tasted great. I made as is, except that I added about 1/2 c of sour cream. I also took my cooked egg noodles and added it to the crock pot to sop up all the wonderful sauce. Thanks for posting.

  3. This was good and very easy to throw together before going out the door in the morning. I followed the recipe as written other then I doulbed it for my family and added more mushrooms then the recipe called for. I also only cooked mine for six hours. I do agree with the others that the gravy is a bit thick and needed to be thinned out some.

  4. This is very good. It has great flavor and I also added some beef broth to thin the sauce just a bit. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Very good beef and noodles that I served with mashed potatoes. So easy to make and wonderful flavors. I did use some beef broth to thin the sauce down a bit so we would have gravy for the potatoes. Made and reviewed for ZWT 4 - Family Picks.

Tweaks

  1. This was really good. Husband liked it alot. Kids ate it up. The only thing I did diffrent was use cream of celery instead of broccoli. I would add a little beef broth or water whatever your choice, seems to me the sauce is a little to thick. Will make again, Thanks iewe

I am the mother of three, wife of one :) My teenager is the pickiest eater in the world, while my 3 year old will eat anything (though has been acting more and more fickle lately). Our newest addition was born in June 2008, so she doesn't really know much in the way of varieties of food. My husband says "I don't care what you fix, as long as it has meat in it." I have thousands of recipes saved on my computer from over the years, and am constantly on the lookout for new ones. I also seem to have accumulated hundreds of cookbooks over the years. I am (slowly) trying to go thru all the recipes I have saved and add them to 'Zaar, but this will take some time. I try to only post things that my family (or I) will eat (though I haven't necessarily yet tried every recipe I have posted). <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/cookbookswap.jpg"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/captain.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t237/akplongmeadow/ZWT3b.jpg"> <img src="http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/carolinamoon21/Stockingswapcopy.jpg"> <img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w115/bugh8er/food%20and%20swaps/4811_39528.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/ZaarStar-AMBanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/smPACp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%204/ZWTAB-tg.gif"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/potluckpbanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/kid-friendlytag-participation2.gif"> <img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/lauralie41/cookbookswapspring08-2.jpg"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/IWasAdoptedfall08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj81/HokiesLady65/123HitAMpage.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PACfall08partic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/stacky5.jpg"> <img src="http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr336/jess4freedom/Zaar%20banners/Kid-Friendly-Tag.jpg"><img src="http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e110/flower753/Food/my3chefsnov2008.jpg"> <img src="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a24/ohohkatie/MARCHTAG1.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Participation.jpg"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/Animation6.gif"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/PACsticker-Adopted.jpg">
