ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1⁄2 cups dried lentils, picked over
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1⁄3 cup ketchup
- 1⁄3 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1⁄4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 6 onion hamburger buns, split
- 1⁄4 cup butter, softened
directions
- Mix all ingredients together in a crock pot.
- Cook on low 8-9 hours or on high for 4 hours.
