Basic Olive Oil and Vinegar Vinaigrette (Weight Watchers)

"A great alternative salad dressing when following the WW plan.......or not. Yield is approximate. Original recipes specifies 1 1/2 'packets' Splenda but the Zaar computer didn't recognize the word 'packets' which I believe are 1 teaspoon each."

  1. Is this zero points? Also, why in the WORLD does this originally dressing call for a sweetener?!??!?!? Gross!

  2. Don't let the name fool you....there is nothing BASIC about this salad dressing. It is the most flavorful dressing I have come across without all the garbage additives and preservatives added to it...and the best part, is that I only use a heaping tablespoon of dressing for 2 people!! The garlic is a MUST! I must admit, I only use a pinch of sugar, but even that isn't really needed. I serve this dressing with Baby Romaine, mango, dried blueberries or cranberries and a little bit of goat cheese. I have never come across a salad dressing where I would want to make the full recipe (I usually cut it in half or quarters) because we get bored of it quickly. Not this one...it is really yummy!!

  3. This was delicious!! I added some beau monde seasoning and used minced garlic and basil too. I will be making this more often :) Great on a basic salad of lettuce, tomato, cumcumber and onion. YUM!! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
