Barbecue Turkey Meatloaf

ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1⁄3 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 cup minced onion
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 egg whites
- 1 whole egg
- 1⁄4 cup barbecue sauce
- barbecue sauce, for topping
directions
- Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl, place mixture on a cookie sheet lined with foil. Shape into a loaf, then spread barbecue sauce over the top.
- Bake @ 350 for 50-55 minute.
- The baking sheet allows excess fat to run off.

The best part of this meatloaf was the barbecue sauce. With that said, I used *KCMasterpiece Sweet & Tangy* bbq sauce both in it and on it. I followed the recipe to a T, but for some reason my loaf didn't hold together very well and kind of spread itself flat during baking. The mix was way too wet, I don't know if it was my ground turkey or what. The only real flavor to this meatloaf came from the barbecue sauce. I most likely won't make this version again, unless I was to change the recipe. But then it wouldn't be this meatloaf anymore. Made for PAC Fall 09.
