  1. I was craving " Comfort Food " so I went looking for a meatloaf recipe on 7/8/09 and found this one. After reading Marlene.'s review, I decided to add about 1/2 teaspoon more of the chili powder to the meatloaf mixture. Instead of putting the meat into a loaf pan, it was free -formed and put into a baking dish. For the topping, 1/2 cup of ketchup, 3 teaspoons of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of chili powder. The topping wasn't put on the meatloaf until 45 minutes after it was placed in the oven. Baked it for 15 more minutes, then let it " rest " for about 10 minutes so it wouldn't fall apart when slicing. And I have to tell you, that this is the first meatloaf that my SO hasn't taken the sauce off the top and added soy sauce. This meatloaf was so moist, and had alot of flavor. I'm sure going to make this one again. Thanks for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "

  2. I'm not a huge meatloaf lover , so I'm leaving my comments out. My husband and daughter both thought the meatloaf was a bit bland tasting. The only real flavor punch was when you had a bite with the bbq sauce. Overall it was ok , but not a favorite for them. Thanks for posting!! :)
