- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 - 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 green apple
- 1 red apple
- 1 yellow apple
- 2 -3 bananas
directions
- Melt butter in sauce pan, over low heat; Cool.
- Gradually stir in sugar, egg and vinegar.
- Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly; Cool completely.
- Chop apples and bananas.
- Pour dressing over fruit and mix gently.
- Enjoy.

I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving this year and we really liked it. The only thing I noticed was that after a few hours the dressing changed in consistency so I would not suggest trying to make this salad ahead. Served fresh though it's great and I really liked the flavor of the dressing - not run of the mill and very fresh and bright tasting. Thanks!
