Balsamic Vinaigrette

"This is a sweet tasting vinaigrette that is great for salads and easy to make and is lo-carb tho it works well with sugar too. Step one is important for the sugar/splenda to disolve. You can add spices if you like."

ingredients

• 1⁄4 cup Splenda granular
• 1⁄3 cup balsamic vinegar
• 1⁄2 cup olive oil

directions

1. Mix Splenda and balsamic vinegar together.
2. Add olive oil and shake to mix.

This was a great base for a balsamic vinaigrette, but I found I needed to add a few things to make it perfect for our tastes. I added 1/4 cup grated parmesan, 1/2 t of salt, 1/2 t pepper and reduced the splenda to 3 T. I used my immersion blender to emulsify...yum!

This was such a fast vinaigrette to put together. I used sugar and not splenda but I cut back a bit on the amount of the sugar and it was still sweet tasting. Instead of whisking I used my small blender and added the oil a little at a time and made sure it was really blended. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing a delicious recipe.

Nice and easy. I personally put less sugar, I found it a little too sweet. I recommend this to all looking to make a nice dressing. One thing I would advise is when adding the oil to the vinegar pour it in slowly while whisking vigourisly so it will emulsify nicely.

Made this for dinner tonight using spring greens. Every one loved this sweet tasting vinaigrette. Served Feta cheese and Blue on the side for topping as desired. Absolutely delicious.
