Balsamic Marinade

"This marinade is specifically for red meat or vegetables. It can be made up to a week in advance of use provided it is stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Fresh herbs such as rosemary, oregano or marjoram can be added if desired."

  • Whisk together all ingredients in a bowl.

  1. This was great on Recipe #385538, the beef version! I did make a significant change which is why I took a star away. I tried it as listed and couldn't taste the balsamic vinegar, so I used 1/4 cup of it. I'm wondering if that was supposed to be the amount listed because what was there does not equal 3/4 cup. It was great with that amount and not overpowering! I also used the fresh thyme. Made for ZWT6. Thanks Ice Cool Kitty! :)
  2. It gave the steak a nice taste but something was missing. There is not enough of balsamic vinegar. I'd try with more next time. I let the steak in the marinade for 2 hours. Thanks Ice Cool Kitty :) Made for Photo tag
