Baked Onion Slices

- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons dried sage, crumbled
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper, freshly ground
- 4 medium onions, peeled
directions
- In a small bowl, combine mustard, oil, honey, sage, pepper and salt.
- Slice onions crosswise into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- Place in single layer in greased 13x9 inch baking dish.
- Brush generously with mustard mixture.
- Cover with foil, bake 425F (220C) oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake 10-15 minutes longer or until tender.

Sorry Elly, I thought I posted this earlier. :) Oh My.....I'm in 'Onion Heaven'. What a terrific and pretty way to serve onions as a side dish. I didn't have pure sage, but had poultry seasoning which contains sage, so used that. I'll have to get the pure sage for when I make it again. Thanks Elly, for a wonderful addition to our supper.
