Questions & Replies

 1. How many cups of French bread should 4 1/2 thick cut slices amount to?

 1. This was a delish addition for St. Paddy's day! There was just a lone morsel left after the family descended. The only change I'd make would be to lighten up on the Baileys a smidge -- the alcohol was a touch overpowering. Then again, it's the post-meal drink and dessert rolled into one!
 2. I'm a huge fan of bread pudding and this one did not disappoint. I used stale french bread and it was perfect.
 3. I love flavored bread puddings!! I use the fat-free flavored coffee creamers and they work great! And, like KitchenManiac, I like to let it sit and soak up on the counter for a while. Our local grocery has day old bagel slices that they sell for 75cents a bag, and I love the pudding made with them!!
 4. The bread pudding gave wonderful Bailey aroma but it retained so much alcohol that the taste was way off. I don't like desserts that are overpowered by liquor and this is one of them.
 5. 5 stars from my husband but it was too strong of a flavor for me so I removed one star. Make sure your guests really like Bailey’s!

 1. I served it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

I live with my husband, four cats, and a sweet mutt named Jada in Scarborough, Ontario, where I work as an elementary school administrative assistant. I have a 31 year old daughter who lives with her boyfriend in nearby Don Mills, along with my sweet granddogs, Frankie and Turbo. I would have to say that my passion is animals, since I have so many of them!

If I had a month off work to do what I please, I would first catch up on my sleep and then just have fun - see a few movies and maybe take a couple of short trips - something that wouldn't break the bank - lol!
