ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 5 medium cinnamon sticks
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ginger powder (if using fresh ginger lessen quantity abit)
- 3 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon pine nuts
directions
- Boil all the ingredients in a saucepan except nuts on high heat, then simmer for 15 minutes.
- Strain into cups.
- Garnish with nuts.
- Serve hot.

I loved this and so did my 14 month old. My sister also liked it. I used fresh ginger (defiantly dont leave ginger out) and honey stirred in at the end in replacement of the sugar. I toasted the pine nuts in a dry pan and they were a good addition. I didn't have walnuts, maybe next time because I would love to make this again. This would be great during the snowy winter season.
