- 2 unbaked pie shells (9-inch)
- 5 cups apples
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
directions
- Prepare pie shells.
- Peel and slice apples.
- Mix togeth- er 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and heavy cream.
- Pour over apples.
- Mix well.
- Arrange in pastry shell.
- Combine and sprinkle over top 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
- Bake 50 to 60 minutes in a 350 degrees oven.

I made my own pie crust instead of using the readymade ones the recipe calls for. The recipe is very rich. It is a delicious pie. I have made the recipe twice in the past week and the first time I made it, everything turned out fine. But oddly, the second time I made it; the apples did not cook long enough. I followed the directions exactly both times, strange huh? The pie was fantastic though.5Reply
