  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Partially bake the pie crust.
  • Chop and peel and pears and apples into bite-sized chunks.
  • Combine all other filling ingredients (flour, sugar, yogurt, egg, nutmeg, vanilla) in a large mixing bowl.
  • Fold in the fruit.
  • Pour mixture into the pie crust, and bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
  • While baking, mix topping ingredients (sugar, flour, cinnamon, and butter) together.
  • Lower the oven temperature to 350 and add topping to pie. Bake for at least another 30 minutes or more, until custard filling is getting set and topping is browned.
