  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Grease 8 x 8 dish.
  • Peel and cut apples (thin slices or small chunks).
  • Place apples in pan.
  • Add cinnamon and water.
  • Separately, mix melted butter, flour and sugars.
  • Spread evenly and firmly on top of apple mixture.
  • Bake 45-50 minutes.

  1. I love apple and cinnamon and enjoyed that part a lot. For us though this was way too sweet. I could have doubled the apples to balance the topping, also the crisp wasn't really crisp though we didn't mind that. With the water the apples cooked down almost to applesauce, which was ok though I prefer a little more texture. Made for PAC Fall 2012
     
  2. This was super delicious. It wasn't really like a traditional apple crisp, since the topping was quite gooey almost like a caramel sauce, unlike the crumbled topping of a traditional apple crisp. But it was a big hit in as dessert in our house. Thank you for sharing your recipe, kmact.
