- 2 apples, diced
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
- 1 1⁄2 cups water
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Stovetop method:
- Place all ingredients into a medium pot over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until oats are cooked.
- Serve with additional milk and salt, if desired.

- Place all ingredients into a crockpot.
- Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
- Serve with additional milk and salt, if desired.
