    onion, diced
  • 1
    (16 ounce) can sauerkraut
  • 5
    tablespoons butter
  • 12
    cup cream (you can add milk like i have to)
  • 2
    cups water
  • 2
    cups instant potato flakes

DIRECTIONS

  • saute onion in butter
  • add sauerkraut you can drain it ,if thats what you do.
  • saute until onion light gold
  • add water.
  • bring to a boil
  • add potatoes.
  • mix in cream to desired thickness.
