  1. I was a bit suspicious of this recipe because it didn't call for any baking soda or powder, but it looked so easy I figured it was worth a try. I am an experienced cook, but still followed the recipe to a "T". It looked odd as a batter, but I was hoping some magic would happen in the oven that would produce a wonderful brownie. Wishful thinking-upon removing the pan I was greeted with a bubbling, buttery pan of goo. After it cooled all of the butter was absorbed and turned it into a shrunken, solid mass of dry chocalate. Looks like I will have to stick to my 15 ingredient Ghiradelli recipe until I can find an easier one that is just as good!
