American Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato Salad

"This salad is so fast and simple. It's perfect for a hot summer day. You can cook the bacon in the microwave and not even have to heat up the house. I use turkey bacon to make it lighter."

  1. This was so very good. I used grape tomatoes and cut them in half. The bacon is what really gives it the flavor and we couldn't stop eating it. Main course took a back seat to this. Thanks for a great recipe. Will make often.

  2. Good salad! I used baby spinach and baby greens. Thanks for posting! Made for "Election Eats" Tag.

  3. So easy to do and unbelievable how good it is. I'll do it very often I think :P I cooked my bacon in the microwave. I used Renee's ranch dressing with sour cream. Thanks :)

  4. Delicious! I knew I'd love this because what's not to love? It has wonderful ingredients and my favorite dressing. I made exactly as stated and it made a great lunch! Thanks for sharing, gert!

  5. This was great - especially since we had leftover bacon on te fridge to crumble & add. I served the cheese separately because I'm prolly the only person on the planet who doesn't like cheese in her salad. Fast, easy & delicious. The only prob here was I served it with ribs & just(today!) available corn on the cob, so it wasn't devoured, lol.

I am 30 years old and I love to cook for my family of four.... I am married with two wonderful children.... That is them in the picture above.... It's a little old though.... Wesley will be five in June and Katelyn will be eight in June.... I'm always looking for new things to cook and try out on all of my family.... I'm also a teacher to 17 wonderful 3 yr. olds.... I'm always looking for quick, easy, and wonderful tasting food to fix that my whole family will enjoy... My husband is a picky meat and potatoes man.... SO, any time I fix something new that he likes, is amazing.... Wesley is like his daddy and loves to eat meat and potatoes, but he's also real good about trying other foods.... Katelyn, will eat whatever she can get her hands on.... Katelyn has some special needs and we have to watch what she eats and how she eats....
