Very delicious, especially for something this simple to make. Like many of us, I'm trying to avoid going to the store, so I used what I had at home. Ground turkey instead of beef or lamb, canned tomatoes instead of fresh, garlic-ginger paste instead of fresh. The turkey worked really well with all the spices. I added curry leaves, since I happened to have some. The only modification in cooking I made was to bloom the spices first before stirring them into the meat - I just pushed the meat to the sides and tossed the spices into the center of the skillet. I probably used a bit more potato, did not bother weighing, but I like potatoes. Definitely a satisfying dish. Oh, and my sister used sweet potatoes instead of regular, and that was really good, too.

This was a great recipe. I only used half a box of tomatoes and added tomato paste. Maybe by par boiling the potatoes the cooking time could be reduced.

This turned out great! The taste and aroma of spices was not at all overwhelming and eventually ingredient had remained its flavor unlike most Pakistani or Indian recipes where spices take over the flavors of protein and rest of the ingredient. Thumbs up for The Who came up with the recipe!
