  • Mix all of the ingredients, except the salmon, in a bowl to make the marinade.
  • Place the fish fillets in a freezer bag, add the marinade, squeeze all the air out of the bag and seal the bag. Allow the fillets to marinate for 12 to 24 hours.
  • Heat up your grill and over indirect heat grill the fillets, skin side down.
  • Cook until the fish flakes at the thickest parts of the fillet. You can test this by using a fork and lightly brushing it over the area.
  • The Plate : Serve with roasted red bell peppers and cold Alaskan Amber Beer.

  1. Such an interesting combination of ingredients for the marinade, I wasn't sure how it was going to come out, but we really enjoyed it. It was a little bitter, but the savoriness of the soy sauce helped to balance it. I served it over a brown rice pilaf and with roasted red peppers.

  3. My BF inhaled this salmon- it was a wonderful blend of flavors! I used bottled minced ginger, and bottled minced garlic. It worked perfectly, and saved a bit of prep time. Also used low-sodium say sauce. Absolutely yummy!

Excellent on ANY seafood, including crustaceons. The combination of Amber Ale (Beer) and Soy Sauce creates a delicious flavour that begs for more. Of course the recipe must be served with simple and delicious sides; I gladly complied.... Wild rice and green mango, with a complement of grilled baby vegetables..... I am pleased and proud to share this recipe with my friends , and delighted to raise 5-thumbs up, in appreciation...... Thank you
