Have eaten this several times and noticed the person commenting on "gagging" on it. Two things come to mind as a possibility: Not everyone gets a taste for turkey chili and I even know a rare few who can't stand brown rice for some reason. Me, I'm flexible, but that is also why I only give this four out of five stars; one needs to "season to taste." Chili recipes are not all equal to tastes. In my case, I have several "go to" chili powders I have tried from generic to "WOW! Why didn't I know about this sooner?!?" both for heat and for flavor. Do not be afraid to experiment. Generically, we typically use a 2 to 1 of chili powder to cumin (in this recipe's case as two cups of beans rather than my typical 3 to 4, around 4 teaspoons chili powder to 2 cumin). As for the two extra "WOW!" chili powders I have found, one comes from Adobe Mills of Dove Creek, Colorado and the other from Kent Rollins of cowboy cooking fame. I have also looked at making my own via suggestions by Kent Rollins and would go for more of a smoked chile flavor with a kick. Most of all, enjoy the experimentation. That's half the fun.Reply

This was very yummy the first few times I ate it, 5 stars, however, after eating it a few times after that, I cannot even eat one bite without gagging. Not quite sure why I loved it so much to begin with and can't tolerate it now, weird, i do that with some foods. But, it was awesome the first few times I made this...Reply
