I can't seem to get enough chocolate lately and these cupcakes were among my victims. This recipe comes from a Chicago bakery called Sweet Mandy B's and these cupcakes will make you happy!
This recipe by Lorie Roach was featured on the Ultimate Recipe Showdown and won the cupcake category. It makes a lot of buttercream icing, so next time I think I will double the amount of cupcakes. These do take quite a bit of time to make, but they are addicting!
My youngest daughter entered these into the fair a few years back and won a 2nd place ribbon. So cute! You can use your favorite cake batter and icing recipe. To make the popcorn band your will need scissors, white construction paper and blue and/or red markers, or you can create something on a color printer such as we did. You will also need a clean paintbrush to add "butter" to the "popcorn".
This is a recipe that I have adapted to my own tastes, based on Nigella Lawson's recipe in her Forever Summer cookbook; she developed this for the Lavender Trust, a British charity for young women with breast cancer. These delightful little cakes are easy to make and are ideal for gifts, high tea, picnics and parties.
These are delicious tiramisu cupcakes. They are relatively easy to make as they use a boxed cake mix. Read recipe in entirety first - it sounds more complex then it actually is. You can decorate these to be quite elegant & fancy in presentation for Brunches, Bridal showers, or whatever suits your needs. These sell at gourmet bakeries, coffee shops & cafe's for a pretty penny.
These cupcakes are my kids favorite snack to bring in their lunch boxes. They are so good that even the teachers would write me a letter requesting the recipe. Enjoy!
I don't recall where I got this from, but they are quick and easy and the kids think they are super cool.
This is a recipe from Everyday Food with a few tips from making them several times. The original recipe yielded 6 jumbo sized cupcakes but I've always made a dozen standard size cupcakes. They get rave reviews and are perfect for baby showers and other parties. I have made the cakes ahead of time, frozen them, thawed them out the night before the party and then glazed them the day of so the glaze stays nice.
This cupcake recipe is from the book Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World. You can make this recipe using soy margarine or canola oil. I have only used the canola oil in this recipe and the results were surprisingly delicious. The texture is good and so is the flavor.
