A frothy comeback, five years in the making.

Get a sip of this. After five years and “literally 26 billion” requests (my high school AP Lang teacher would have called that “hyperbole”), Kellogg’s is bringing back the Frosted Strawberry Milkshake Pop-Tart.

The prodigal pastry returns! Do you like an early-morning sugar high with your venti-sized cup Starbucks? This childhood toaster snack is guaranteed to get you going. It’s filled with a strawberry-flavored filling to give you that imitation strawberry milkshake flavor, then flavor blasted with a sticky, sugary frosting on one side before being bedazzled with rainbow sprinkles.

The company claims that the best way to enjoy them is straight from the freezer, just like the real thing. Just try not to break your teeth in the process.

"It's been five years since Pop-Tarts has offered this limited-edition variety,” said Pop-Tarts’ marketing director, Angela Gusse. “Ever since, Frosted Strawberry Milkshake has been our most highly-requested flavor among fans on social media, so we're excited to treat them again."

Make like the malt shop man and hop to where the Pop-Tarts are. Even though 26 billion people have been asking for these rectangular pastry pockets, they’ll only be around for a limited time, so the eight billion people on Earth might just have to joust for them.
