So, you never learned to brew a proper pot of coffee?
Well, you might as well not even bother at this point, because Starbucks will soon be delivering fresh cups and croissants, straight to your door.
At its 2018 investor conference on December 13th, the company announced that it would be expanding its delivery partnership with Uber Eats to a quarter of its company-operated stores in the U.S. (about 2,000 locations).
The target launch date for new delivery options is late March or early April of 2019.
The announcement follows the launch of Starbucks Delivery test programs that were made available in Tokyo and Miami. The global chain has already successfully expanded its delivery services to 2,000 stores in China, where it has a partnership with the Chinese tech conglomerate Alibaba.
So get ready friends; once the wake-up alarm rings, head down to the kitchen with your smartphone. Stand in front of the coffee pot, place your Starbucks mobile order, then while you’re waiting for it to arrive, throw your coffee machine out the window. Liberation, at last!
