We all remember the days when we wanted to become a part of our favorite TV shows. Now, a bar group in Washington DC is helping us live our dreams — all while serving alcohol.

The Drink Company, a renowned Washington D.C. establishment, is known for producing creative pop up bars at their venue, the PUB, with previous themes including the Royal Wedding and Game of Thrones.

And now from August 8th until October 6th, their pop-up will be called Wubba Lubba Dub PUB, after Rick Sanchez’s catch phrase from the comedy show “Rick and Morty,” and will feature a menu and decor inspired by the show.

The Adult Swim show (with a cult following) tracks the absolutely wild adventures of a grandfather and grandson duo deep into alternate universes. And, in proper form with the show, the original cocktails served at the Wubba Lubba Dub PUB will be funny and quirky.

The menu will include such libations as:
Existence is Pain: Gin, Blanc Vermouth, Blue Curacao, Coconut Water, Lemon, Absinthe
Get Schwifty: Tequila, St. Germain, Watermelon, Lime, Salt
Morty’s Mind Blower: Rose, Strawberry Campari, Blanc Vermouth, Sparkling Water
Rickey Sanchez: Scotch, Citrus Cordial, Sparkling Water
Peace Among Worlds: Sake, Melon, Cucumber

Along with these inspired beverages, the bar will feature house shots served in beakers to mimic Rick’s mad scientist vibes.

The pop-up boasts an extremely fun immersive experience and encourages costumes. There are even two entrances in the bar: one for folks who dress as Rick and one for those who don’t.

The expansive universes in the show gave The Drink Company project team lots of material to work with.

Adriana Salame-Aspiazu commented on their project, “The imagery is incredibly rich, and hopefully it will evoke a feeling of being in that dimension, but also make you laugh a little bit.”
