Ready for a candy revolution?

In a why-didn’t-they-think-of-this-sooner move, the world’s favorite peanut candies are getting a white chocolate makeover. On Friday, M&M’s announced the release of new White Chocolate Peanut M&M’s, which embraces what parent company Mars Inc. says is a “growing demand for white chocolate.”

The little confections will feature the same candy shell and peanut core as regular Peanut M&M’s, but the milk chocolate that enrobes the peanut will be replaced by creamy white chocolate.

“In response [to rising demand for white chocolate], we introduced M&M's White Chocolate last year to excite and delight not only our M&M'S fans, but all chocolate lovers,” said Allison Miazga-Bedrick, brand director for M&M's, in a statement. “We were amazed to see the positive response and we're thrilled to now add white chocolate to a fan favorite variety, peanut.”

White Chocolate Peanut M&M’s will be available in three different sizes—for sharers and for hoarders—starting in the fall.
