Don Gorske loves the Big Mac more than millennials love unicorns. Probably more so, even, because there are likely very few millennials that have eaten unicorn foods twice daily for 46 years. That could also be because the oldest millennials are only in their late 30s.

Yes, Don Goske of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, has been eating two Big Macs per day since May 17th, 1972. And, according to Britain’s The Sun, somehow he is still in perfect health.

Medical records obtained by The Sun show that Gorske, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds, has had cholesterol levels well under the recommended limit of 200 for years. That’s not to say that cholesterol is the only measure of health, but he’s 64, still kicking, and has no intention to stop anytime soon.

Readers familiar with the documentary Super Size Me, which was released 14 years ago, might be shocked to see that Gorske is still sticking to his diet. Self-admittedly “a little obsessive-compulsive,” Gorske has no problems with eating the same exact thing every day. He holds the record for amount of Big Macs eaten, and at this point has scarfed down over 29,700.

Gorske recounted the birth of his love affair with McDonald’s in an interview with USA Today, explaining that he started eating the Big Mac when he was young, and, worrying that he would be drafted for the Vietnam War, started eating them every day while he still could. When he wasn’t drafted, he carried on.

He has his own booth at his local McDonald’s restaurant, which is located in what used to be the parking lot—the same spot where he proposed to his wife.

Missed meals are infrequent for Gorske, who keeps a few sandwiches frozen in his fridge at all times in case disaster strikes and he’s not able to make it to a restaurant.

If you love something enough, you’ve just gotta fight for it, right? Cheers, we’re happy to raise a glass to food obsessions of all kinds.
