Mister Just-Keep-Livin’ now has his very own bourbon label, and obviously it’s specially made for his favorite activity: living.

Last week, actor and Wild Turkey creative director Matthew McConaughey took to Facebook live to announce the release of his brand new, limited-edition bottle of Wild Turkey bourbon, named “Longbranch.” He was joined in the broadcast by Wild Turkey master distiller Eddie Russell, and also by his mother.

With his signature Texas charm, McConaughey shot off a few of his signature alright, alright, alrights, before diving into the creation story of his new label. Longbranch is a new bourbon whiskey that was made special according to the actor’s tastes. It starts with the Kentucky spirit, aged for eight years, which is then made smoky with Texas mesquite. To get it to customers, Wild Turkey packaged it in a classy-looking bottle with “nice shoulders and hips.”

McConaughey said that he sampled “a whole lot of bourbon” before they found their winning recipe, which he discovered at 4:30 in the morning on the night of his birthday, while on a family camping trip on the Frio River.

“I would take it places like that—camping,” he said. “I would take it out when my wife and I would go out dancing to see what it felt like at 11:30, 12 at night, while we were out at a club shakin’ a leg. So I picked out my spots to take the bourbon and taste it.”

He then brought out his mother and Eddie Russell for a taste test.

“The aftertaste is kind-of just… velvet pears,” he said, “with a little mesquite smoke and a touch of caramel.”

McConaughey also provided updates on his personal and professional life. He has three films slated for release this year, including the upcoming comedy The Beach Bum, also starring Snoop Dogg and Zac Efron.

Wild Turkey Longbranch will be available in the U.S. beginning in May, and will retail for $39.99.
