Colonel Sanders has been played by a lot of famous faces over the years, but until now, those faces have never been feminine.

Who better than Grammy Award-winning singer Reba McEntire—(one of) the Queen(s) of Country herself—to set a new Sanders standard for women everywhere, with sparkling sequins and dive bar country tunes?

Naturally, the internet burst into flames flames of positivity on Friday when KFC announced that McEntire would be stepping into the Colonel’s boots for a new advertisement spot. She will be the latest in what is now a long line of Colonel impersonators that has included Jim Gaffigan, Rob Lowe and Billy Zane.

In one 60-second spot, McEntire’s Colonel spins around on a honky-tonk stage and starts showing off his pipes. Yes, McEntire is wearing the goatee. And a whole lot of sequins on that classic Colonel jacket.

He then goes on to pitch KFC’s new Smoky Mountain BBQ chicken, which will be available in restaurants nationwide beginning January 29th.

"I grew up with Kentucky Fried Chicken. It's part of my story, and I'm so excited to now be part of theirs," said McEntire in a release. "I've held a lot of roles in my life—sort of like the Colonel himself—but this is certainly the most unique one yet."

In another, rather meta spot, McEntire is dressed up as the Colonel, who is dressed up as McEntire. Hey, who’s playing who here! At least we’re offered some clarification:

“I swear I’m not a famous woman,” the Colonel sings into the bedazzled microphone.

Phew, glad that one’s cleared up.
