Now that the hit TV show Fixer Upper has come to an end, Joanna Gaines is moving on to tastier pastures.
House flipping no more—Gaines has made a move into the food world with her brand new cookbook, Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering, which was released on Tuesday. The title refers to the restaurant that she owns with her husband, Chip, in Waco, Texas.
The cookbook features a combination of recipes (125 of them) from both the restaurant and Gaines’ family’s understandably well-appointed kitchen. Perfect for big family meals, together around the table, it leans heavily on comfort classics, from hearty breakfast quiches and biscuits to chicken pot pie to mac and cheese. Joanna’s home garden plays a large role in adding elements of seasonality to the recipes.
“For me, this cookbook is a celebration of bringing people together because I think there’s nothing better than gathering around the table with family and friends to share a good meal,” she told People back in December.
Joanna and Chip Gaines opened their Magnolia Table café and restaurant in February after documenting its renovation for Fixer Upper’s final season. The couple is currently expecting their fifth child, who will undoubtedly eat very well once he is old enough to chew.
