Are your legs sore from going to the bread aisle, only to realize that the hummus is all the way on the other side of the grocery store? Are your wrists aching from constantly dipping?

If so, the Modern Pod Company has just the thing for you! On Monday, the plant-based pod bite company announced that “Hummus Pods,” its revolutionary line of hummus-injected pita bites, would be expanding to chain retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods, Hannaford, Earth Fare and a whole host of healthy independent stores.

So just what are they? The hummus pod is comprised of a crisp multigrain shell with a flavored hummus interior.

Think of them like Fruit Gushers, if the fruit was replaced by pita and the gush was replaced by hummus. Or dumplings, filled with chickpea-and-tahini puree. Or empanadas bursting with Mediterranean sauciness.

They’re GMO Project-verified and come in four different flavors, including “Zesty Lemon,” “Smoky Chipotle,” “Sriracha Lime” and “Tangier Red Pepper.”  The pods are frozen, so all you have to do is open up the box and either bake them (the best option, obviously), microwave them or let them thaw until ready to eat. Then, they can be eaten on the go, in salads or as an appetizer.

"We've selected the best ingredients from the start, to create the best plant-based experience on the planet," said Becky McCartin, a product developer at the Modern Pod Company, in a statement.

The Modern Pod Company is a spin-off company from food venture accelerator The Food Innovation Nexus (“The Fix”), dedicated to producing these healthy, easy snacks.

Looking to find them in your store? The company’s website has an interactive list of over 2,500 locations where they are sold.
