Derby Day has come and gone, yet the strange hats have not. Is it something in the air? No, it’s the royal wedding.

Chili’s Bar & Grill is the latest brand to take the plunge into the noise bath that is the celebration of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement. Their contribution? Fascinators (A.K.A. funky little hats) and cufflinks for the dudes, styled after Tex-Mex foods. Spicy!

In a series of photographs released to the press, young models perch on barstools and in booths with fajitas and ‘ritas in hand. The ladies sport fascinators featuring burgers and ribs, and the men wear matching cufflinks.

As much as the stunt is a celebration of the royal wedding, it is also a celebration of the restaurant’s menu, which was KonMaried into its present form last year. By taking its formerly bloated menu and cutting down by 40 percent, the chain now focuses on heaping portions of meat and cold margaritas.

“The royal wedding is such an iconic event, which compels many of us on this side of the pond to wake up early to witness the nuptials of the royal couple,” said Steve Provost, chief marketing officer for Chili’s, in a statement. “My team and I wanted to show our support for the royals and pay tribute to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their blessed day in our own ‘ChiliHead’ way.”

If you were wondering how to get your hands on your own Chili’s apparel, the restaurant chain has some bad news for you: “unfortunately you can’t because we only made a select few.”

Bummer, looks like you’ll have to make your own out of a Kellogg’s cereal box. And while you’re in a creative mood, check out our gallery of Chili’s-inspired Tex-Mex dishes that you can make at home.
