The company that makes the world’s favorite whale-shaped cake is coming back to the freezer aisle for a playfully phone-forward dessert that is bound to bring smiley faces to the dinner table.

Carvel on Monday announced the release of its new line of individual serving ice creams, the “Emoji Ice Cream Cups.” The emoji cups could bring the cleverness of this digital form of expression to parties, piano recitals or basically anything else. Think you’re too old to be a cool millennial? Think again, because your odds of joining the cool club have just improved.

The emoji ice cream cups are made with either vanilla or chocolate soft serve ice creams, which are then topped with “sweet whip” and then decorated with emoji expressions. Don’t see the faces you like in the store freezer? Order a custom 6-pack with the emojis of your choosing. That’s right, with these cups you can choose from thousands of emojis to match your occasion of choice.

Headed for a big game? You better believe there are soccer, football and baseball emojis in the emoji dictionary. Getting a gift for your favorite person? How about that hearts-for-eyes emoji? Going on a triple date night? We believe there’s a certain fruit and vegetable combination for that one.

"At Carvel, our goal is to put a smile on every face, which is why we are excited to introduce Emoji Ice Cream Cups," said Scott Colwell, president of Carvel. "The 6-pack allows our guests to personalize each treat for those intended to enjoy the deliciously creamy dessert."

The emoji ice cream cups will be available in packs of of six in Carvel “shoppes” across the nation for a suggested retail price of $9.99 per pack.
