Deer Meat Sandwiches, Only at Arby's

Weren’t able to bring home the deer bacon on your last outdoor adventure? Or maybe just hunting for a taste of one of the more frequently ignored mammalian meats? Oh my friend, has Arby’s got the one-day deal for you.

On October 21st, Arby’s—the meatiest fast-food sandwich chain of them all—is bringing back a sandwich so meaty that meat-eaters everywhere are going to meet up for a meat meal that puts the “m” in sammich. That’s right, Arby’s is reintroducing the Venison Sandwich nationwide, and if you’re not careful, you just might miss it.

The Venison Sandwich will feature a thick and juicy venison steak that has been marinated with garlic, salt and pepper and cooked sous vide-style before being topped with crispy onions and a cabernet steak sauce infused with juniper berries. Last year, the very same sandwich was released in five of what the company calls “hunting-centric states.” It sold out in just a few hours.

“The positive response to our limited offering of venison last year was so widespread and passionate that we knew we had to find a way to offer it nationwide,” said Jim Taylor, the Chief Marketing Officer at Arby’s. “On October 21, we want hunters and meat enthusiasts across the country to visit their local Arby’s and enjoy this amazing sandwich.”

Touché, Jim Taylor. I might not be a hunter, but I am certainly a meat-eating maniac. So much so that I considered traveling to either Colorado, Wyoming or Montana so that I could try the limited-run Elk Sandwich with its blackberry port steak sauce, which is also being released on October 21st. That’s kind-of far away, doe, so I decided, hey, alpaca picnic lunch and just amoose myself that way.
