Zippy Zonya Mexi Seasoning Mix

Entered for safe-keeping. From Heart-Healthy Living by BH&G, Winter 2008. This mix saves a full teaspoon of salt plus MSG. One to 2 tablespoons replaces one packet of commercial mix.

Ingredients

• 5  teaspoons chili powder
• 4  teaspoons ground cumin
• 1  teaspoon cumin seed (optional)
• 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon  dried onion flakes
• 1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
• 1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Directions

1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients.
2. Store for up to 1 month in a self-sealing plastic bag or covered container.
