Yummy Pizza Dough

I don't remember if I found this recipe as is or if it's one I had to modify to add my own flare to it. Either way - it never seems to fail as a crowd pleaser for social gatherings. Several people even asked for the recipe - so here it is. :) Show more

  1. Stir 1 tablespoon of the the sugar and add it to the water - Heat to 110°F and add yeast- Let this set for about 10 minutes until the yeast coming bubbly.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the rest of the sugar and flour, then form an indent at the center of the mix and set aside.
  3. When yeast is ready pour it into the center of the flour/sugar mix along with the oil and cream.
  4. Mix and knead it with hands, eventually forming it into two balls.
  5. Cover them with a towel and let rise for about 30-40 minutes.
  6. Then flatten, roll out and shape the dough on a floured surface into any pizza crust shape you wish.
  7. Place it onto a lightly greased pan and pierce holes into the surface of your crust with a fork in several spots and cover it again. This time let it set for about 20-30 minutes.
  8. Now you can add all the toppings you'd like and bake at 425°F until the crust becomes golden.

  13. This recipe can also be used to make bread sticks. After letting it rise for the first time, shape it into long sticks (or just roll it out and cut it into strips) Then brush melted butter over them before letting them rise for the second time. You can also sprinkle with garlic powder or Parmesan cheese then bake until golden.
