Yankee Bread Stuffing

My father in law used to make the best stuffing and unfortunately he died before I ever got to learn how to make it. I searched and searched and this recipe got me closer than any other. I found it on a website..but I am sorry to say I don't know which one. I never stuff the turkey, I always bake this on the side. I also tear up the bread and lay it on the counter on paper towels the night before I am going to make it. I did not include this time in prep time. I have added fresh mushrooms before and that is wonderful too! Show more
