Winter Squash and Apples (Slow Cooker)

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 (2 lb) butternut squash (pealed and seeded)
- 2 apples (cored and sliced)
- 1 medium onion (quartered and sliced)
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons butter
Directions
- Cut squash into 2 inch pieces and place in slow cooker. Add apples and onions. Sprinkle salt and pepper and stir well. Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.
- Just before serving, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter and stir in with squash, apples, and onions. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.
