Winken, Blinken, and Nod Salad--Just for Kids

Another salad for the children. Cute for them to remember the poem with it.

• Yields: 1 boat

Ingredients

• 1  crisp lettuce leaf
• 3  maraschino cherries
• 1⁄2 banana
• 1  slice apple

Directions

1. ARRANGE ON A PLATE:
2. Place the lettuce on a plate.
3. Put the banana half down--this will be the wooden shoe.
4. Put a toothpick in the bottom of the apple slice and place it in the banana--the apple will be the sail of the boat.
5. Arrange the three cherries on the banana--these are Winken, Blinken, and Nod.
