Whole Wheat Waffles

Ingredients
- 3 eggs, separated
- 3 tablespoons molasses
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
- 1⁄4 cup shortening, melted
- 1 cup enriched flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup unsifted whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Mix together egg yolks, molasses, milk, shortening. Stir into dry ingredients. Beat egg whites stiff, but not dry. Fold gently into batter.
- Bake in hot waffle irons.
