  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Mix together oats, whole-wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
  3. In separate bowl, combine butter, eggs, molasses and Guinness.
  4. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and mix until all ingredients are thoroughly moistened, forming a batter.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 8 1/2 X 4 1/2-inch loaf pan, and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
