White-Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 1⁄4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1⁄4 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons vital wheat gluten
Directions
- Proof the yeast in the water with the honey, about 10-15 minutes or until foamy. Do this in a mixing bowl or your bread machine's bin if it's removable.
- Add the remaining ingredients and knead by hand or until combined. You have to do this for my machine; skip this step if your bread machine does all the work for you.
- Run through your bread machine's wheat cycle. The white bread cycle won't knead it hard enough.
