White Chocolate Macadamia Pumpkin Bars

Better known as my sister in laws thanksgiving pumpkin bars. I tried these last year at my Martha Stewart sister in laws thanksgiving day brunch. They are to die for! I couldnt stop eating them. She said this is a spin off from a cookie recipe so its all approximate. Show more

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine first four ingredients in bowl.
  3. In seperate bowl beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar; until creamy.
  4. Mix in pumpkin, egg, and vanilla; until blended.
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture, then ad nuts and mix well.
  6. Spread mixture into buttered baking dish.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees until center sets. About 30 minutes.
  8. Drizzle with melted chocolate and let cool.
  9. I like to melt my chocolate in a glass in boiling water (stiring frequently) It also works well if you melt it in a zip lock bag in the micro-wave, kneading every 30 seconds after the first minute. Then you just cut the corner off the bag and squeeze it out.
