This is a great recipe modified from a Lion House Cookbook Recipe

Yields: 17 cups

Directions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and boil 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and add cloves, cinnamon sticks, ginger, and allspice berries.
  3. Cover and let stand 60 minutes.
  4. Strain liquid (I usually just pour it through a colander).
  5. Just before serving, add juices and quickly bring to a boil.
  6. Remove from heat and serve.
