Walnut Horn Cookies

  1. In large mixing bowl, cream 1 cup butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add flour, beating until a ball forms.
  3. Divide dough into four portions.
  4. Roll each portion into a 12-inch circle.
  5. Melt the remaining butter.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the walnuts, 3/4 cup sugar, milk, vanilla, salt and melted butter.
  7. Spread over each circle.
  8. Cut each into 12 wedges.
  9. Roll up wedges, starting from the wide ends.
  10. Place on greased baking sheets.
  11. Curve ends to form crescents.
  12. Bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned.
  13. Remove to wire racks.
  14. Place remaining sugar in a large resealable plastic bag.
  15. Add warm cookies, a few at a time, and gently shake to coat.
