Vinegar of the Four Thieves

A basic version of his antiseptic brew so named because the four thieves used to apply this to themselves to protect themselves from the Bubonic Plague while plundering those who had died from it.

• Yields: 1 jar

Ingredients

• One small handful of each of the following

•  lavender
•  rosemary
•  sage
•  rue
•  mint
•  wormwood (optional)
•  apple cider vinegar, organic

Directions

1. Place the herbs in a large sterile jar and top with the cider vinegar.
2. Cover tightly and leave in a dark cupboard.
3. Do not open for 6 weeks.
